The Vigo County School Corp. middle school custodian will be among 10 acts competing for a $1 million prize and a chance to headline an AGT live show in Las Vegas.
“I am so grateful to be this far, and no matter what happens, I’m already a winner,” he said via email. He is in rehearsals both Monday and Tuesday.
Goodall said he is feeling “excited and confident going into the finals. I am having the time of my life.”
He also is trying to rest as much as possible in mind, body and vocals as he prepares for the big night.
The Terre Haute community has been united in its strong support for Goodall. “Thank you Terre Haute and the Wabash Valley; you have no idea how much it means to me, all people coming together and supporting me,” he said.
Goodall was one of six semifinalists to advance to the finals after Wednesday’s live show, thanks to votes by the national viewing public. Four other performers advanced to finals as live show Golden Buzzer recipients.
