Target found itself at the center of controversy after a shopper, Reign Murphy, publicly criticized one of its holiday sweaters.The sweater in question features the phrase: “OCD: Obsessive Christmas Disorder.” Murphy, taking offense to the message,
shared her frustration on Twitter, stating that it was inappropriate and dismissive of those who live with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.
While OCD is indeed a serious mental health condition, reactions to the sweater were mixed.
