Sydnie Christmas dazzles the 8,000-strong crowd with her performance of ‘My Way’ at The Big Bash, earning applause every time

Sydnie Christmas blew the audience away with her stunning rendition of ‘My Way’ at The National Lottery’s Big Bash, held at the OVO Arena Wembley on Wednesday, December 4, 2024. Her powerful and emotive performance captured the hearts of thousands, proving that she could sing the song hundreds of times and still receive a standing ovation every time.

The massive celebration marked a year filled with unforgettable moments, including the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games and The National Lottery’s 30th anniversary. This star-studded event brought together an array of musical talents and special moments, from Olly Alexander’s sensational performance of ‘Cupid’s Bow’ to surprise appearances by the presenters of Loose Women and the cast of Mamma Mia, celebrating their 25th anniversaries. The show opened with Perrie’s incredible rendition of her new hit ‘You Go Your Way’, followed by KSI’s electrifying performance of ‘Thick of It’, which wowed the 8,000-strong crowd.

Other standout performances included Craig David’s energetic medley of hits, which had the audience on their feet, and Ella Henderson’s captivating mash-up of ‘Alibi/Filthy Rich’. The night also featured an exclusive show-stopping performance by Cirque du Soleil’s CORTEO, adding a touch of magic and spectacle to the event.

A particularly touching moment came from British actor Jason Isaacs, who gave a heartfelt reading. He was joined by the National Lottery-funded Taxi Charity for Military Veterans, welcoming veterans—some in their late 90s—onto the stage to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day.
